Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, at a routine press briefing, was asked
about reports that U.S. President Trump yesterday said the U.S. may sanction
Chinese banks that continue doing business with Iran to further isolate Tehran.
Lin said China views dialogue and negotiation as the only way to resolve the
Iran issue and reiterated Beijing’s consistent, explicit opposition to illegal
unilateral sanctions.
