According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, the latest data from Iranian customs shows a sharp decline in gold imports in the first five months of this year, with a drop of over 92%. In the first five months of this year, Iran imported only about 1 ton of gold, compared to approximately 13 tons imported during the same period last year. One of the main reasons for the sharp decline in gold imports is a change in Iran's foreign exchange policy. Currently, Iran is prioritizing the import of more essential commodities.
