The deputy minister at Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture Jihad said the government
has removed order-registration quotas and prior-import-record requirements for
importers of production inputs, allowing registration based on transport and
supply capacity. He added roughly 3.5 mln tonnes of staple goods are at Iranian
ports and most imports have already been moved to markets and production units.
