On Aug. 28 LAVROV told an interview that although the current U.S. government
often calls the Ukraine crisis "Biden's war," the Trump administration continues
to supply weapons and funds to Ukraine. On U.S. support for strikes on Russian
territory, he said Moscow never issued any ultimatum to Washington. He added
that Britain’s role in the Russia‑Ukraine conflict has been "extremely negative"
and argued the UK has no permanent allies, including the United States.
