Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov said on the 28th he has
accepted an invitation to serve as an adviser to Italy's defense minister, Guido
Crosetto. Fedorov said on social media he will act as Crosetto's defense
innovation adviser, assisting on modern warfare technology. He was dismissed by
President Zelenskiy last month after six months in office, a move that sparked
large protests. Zelenskiy subsequently removed the commander-in-chief of the
armed forces, Alexander Syrsky. Mid-month Fedorov released a video calling for
wartime and elections saying Ukraine faces a governance crisis; Zelenskiy days
later said Ukraine is not ready to hold elections in wartime, warning it could
risk national disintegration.
