U.S. Embassy in Beirut said Hezbollah remains unwilling to negotiate disarmament
with the Lebanese government, the U.S. or Israel and is acting at Iran's
direction. The embassy said it is already in dialogue with Beirut and that,
should Hezbollah indicate readiness to hand over weapons, Washington could seek
to narrow the parties' positions.
