Management attributed revenue growth to broader downstream adoption and a marked increase in GPU product shipments. SK Hynix CEO Guo Luzheng said the global memory chip shortage is likely to persist through the end of 2030 and that oversupply risk is low because AI-era demand has made memory chips less of a standardized commodity. He said he sees no signs of oversupply or a pending memory downcycle as demand from AI customers remains strong. If AI demand has peaked or a new downturn occurs, he warned challenges could emerge but expects any future downcycle to be gradual — a slow demand decline or stabilization rather than a sharp fall.
