Vessel-tracking firm Kepler said on Aug. 31 that visible commercial vessels transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell to five per day over the weekend of Aug. 29-30 amid fears of attack. Reported traffic comprised small vessels, including two LPG carriers. Kepler warned some ships switch off AIS to avoid detection, so actual transit numbers may be higher.
