China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) has approved and published the mandatory standard Limits on Overall Dimensions, Axle Load and Mass for Motor Vehicles, Trailers and Vehicle Combinations (GB1589—2026), which takes effect on July 1, 2027. The standard relaxes local protrusion limits for radars, cameras and similar devices to accommodate blind‑spot monitoring and autonomous‑driving environment perception requirements.
