The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) reported that Hong Kong dollar money supply M2 and M3 both rose by 1.0% in July, up 5.6% and 5.5% respectively compared to the same period last year. Seasonally adjusted Hong Kong dollar money supply M1 fell by 0.5% in July, down 0.6% compared to the same period last year, partly reflecting investment-related activity. Total money supply M2 and M3 both rose by 1.1% in July, and both increased by 10.2% compared to the same period last year.
