Beijing, Aug 31 — CPPCC chairman Wang Huning met Austria's National Council
president Rosenkranz. Wang said Xi's 2018 visit with President Van der Bellen
established a China–Austria friendship strategic partnership and urged using the
55th anniversary of diplomatic relations to implement leaders' consensus, deepen
high-level exchanges, consolidate political trust, and expand pragmatic and
people‑to‑people cooperation. Rosenkranz reaffirmed Austria's one‑China policy,
described recent high-level contacts as a positive signal, and expressed a
desire to deepen pragmatic cooperation and advance the China‑Austria strategy
partnership.
