A Sept. 1 press briefing in Beijing confirmed China’s 2026 National
Cybersecurity Awareness Week will run Sept. 14-20 nationwide. A Cybersecurity
Technology Summit opens the week on the morning of Sept. 14 at the Shandong
International Convention and Exhibition Center; attendees will include relevant
government departments, Hong Kong and Macau SAR representatives, cyber experts,
and corporate and internet platform leaders, and organizers said a series of
major cybersecurity outcomes will be released. On Sept. 15-16 organizers will
hold 15 sub-forums, closed-door meetings and seminars focused on AI security
governance, AI-enabled cybersecurity, protection of critical information
infrastructure, open-source supply-chain security, cloud-service security,
personal data protection, automotive data security, cybersecurity insurance,
government information-system security management, electronic product data
sanitization, cybersecurity industry-chain coordination, and cybersecurity
awareness and literacy.
