According to foreign media analysis, Venezuela's withdrawal from OPEC could bring several complementary benefits to the United States:
1. Reduce the likelihood of OPEC interfering with US-participated oil field production in the future;
2. Further integrate one of the world's largest oil reserve holders into the US market and energy security system;
3. Further weaken the organization's political cohesion after the UAE's withdrawal in May 2026;
4. Reduce the influence of Iran and Russia in this major oil-producing country;
5. Obtain some of the oil needed for US refineries and strategic reserves from closer sources;
6. Strengthen the strategy of establishing a Western Hemisphere energy system.
