IRNA reported the Tehran Stock Exchange index gained as much as 145,000 points
to 6.699 million points, nearing the 6.7 million level, before sliding below 6.6
million and closing at 6.583 million. About 94% of stocks were higher at the
open; roughly 71% finished the session down.
