Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bagaei stated that the US military action will further escalate the security crisis in the Strait of Hormuz. He pointed out that this is not the first time the US has committed such a crime, and Iran has responded decisively to every instance of aggression. The continued maritime blockade, economic warfare, and attacks on Iranian infrastructure will inevitably further destabilize the entire region, especially the Strait of Hormuz. He also accused some regional countries of reneging on their commitments and becoming springboards for attacks on Larak Island, and stated that Iran has already struck those targets.
