On Sept 1 the FAA said it plans special flight rules near Trump International
Airport in Palm Beach, Florida, citing security concerns for Trump’s Mar-a-Lago
residence. The proposal would restrict flights within roughly a 1.85 km radius
and below about 610 m (2,000 ft) above ground. The U.S. Secret Service requested
the limits and cited adverse threat intelligence, saying the measures would
materially improve its ability to counter unauthorized aircraft and drones.
