According to South Korean media outlet Money Today, Samsung Electronics is pushing forward with the inclusion of the next-generation mobile application processor (AP), the Exynos 2700, in the top-of-the-line version of its flagship Galaxy S27 series—the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung originally planned to use Qualcomm's next-generation AP, the Snapdragon, only in the Galaxy S27 Ultra, but has now changed its strategy, planning to use the Exynos 2700 in models sold in select countries, including South Korea. Industry sources revealed on the 1st that Samsung Electronics has recently placed orders for Galaxy S27 Ultra motherboards equipped with the Exynos 2700. This indicates that the product has entered the actual development phase. It is understood that Samsung Electronics' System LSI business unit and MX (Mobile Experience) business unit have already conducted preliminary coordination regarding the Exynos supply. Samsung will adopt a "dual-track" development model: while continuing to develop the existing Snapdragon version, it will also add a version equipped with the Exynos 2700.
