Israel defense minister KATZ said Israel is allowing the United States to lead
strikes on Iran because the US has interests in the Strait of Hormuz and energy
security. He said Iran may try to rebuild its nuclear program but that the
program was destroyed during Israel’s Operation Rising Lion: "We destroyed it,
completely." KATZ said Trump subsequently joined the campaign, deploying B-2
bombers with bunker-buster munitions to strike Fordow and another facility, and
that the nuclear program has not recovered since. Israel is monitoring
developments and must ensure Iran cannot regain the capability or restart the
program.
