Tehran Stock Exchange closed down 80,000 points at about 6.5 million after an
intraday drop of more than 145,000 points to below 6.4 million, before
recovering as selling eased. The equal‑weight index lost 26,000 points, slipping
below 1.8 million. Aggregate market capitalization was 18.9 tln reals and
turnover 121.8 tln rials; retail turnover was about 33 tln rials with retail net
outflows of 5.6 tln reals. Fixed‑income funds recorded inflows of roughly 2,868
tln rials and gold funds inflows exceeded 1 tln rials. 65% of listed stocks
closed lower; bid and ask orderbook volumes were 5.7 tln and 5.5 tln rials
respectively.
