Greg Abel, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B), said rising Japanese bond
yields have not affected the major trading firms in which the company holds
stakes. He noted Japan’s 10-year government bond yield hit a 30-year high this
week but, “no trading firm sees this as a fundamental challenge,” adding yields
“remain relatively mild in absolute terms” and are still low versus global
peers. Abel said he still expects Berkshire would consider issuing
yen‑denominated debt when appropriate.
