On Sept. 1 Beijing party secretary Yin Li told a US-China Business Council board
delegation Beijing will work with the Council to implement outcomes of bilateral
economic and trade consultations, expand goods and services trade and raise the
scale and quality of bilateral trade. He urged deeper cooperation among Chinese
universities, research institutes and tech firms to accelerate commercialization
of new technologies in Beijing and called for joint leadership on global AI
governance to steer technology toward societal benefit.
