Shanghai logged its sixth consecutive month above 20,000 resale transactions in
August, with 20,700 second-hand homes sold, up 18% YoY, the Shanghai Municipal
Housing Authority said. The seasonal uptick into September could accelerate the
recovery. Market participants report some buyers probing price increases while
others are swapping into homes priced above 10m yuan beyond the Outer Ring;
activity held up despite heavy summer rain and typhoon disruptions.
