Microsoft (MSFT.O) will begin disclosing quarterly Azure revenue starting with
its fiscal 2027 first-quarter report, ending its practice of publishing only
Azure growth rates. The company is reorganizing reporting segments: Intelligent
Cloud and Productivity & Business Processes will be combined into Agents &
Infra, and More Personal Computing will be recast as Devices & Consumer.
Microsoft said the change reflects Azure’s scale and importance and the impact
of AI in blurring product boundaries. Azure generated over $100bn in revenue in
the year ended June, up from $75bn the prior year, and accounts for roughly 30%
of Microsoft’s total revenue. This is Microsoft’s first major
financial-reporting overhaul since 2015.
