Sept. 2 — Dongsheng Aerospace plans to deliver two high-performance internet satellites and one high-performance SAR remote-sensing satellite this year. The The firm has completed development and ground testing of a 7,000 kg super‑large general satellite platform and is developing a 10 kW‑class large compute satellite. To support mass production of internet satellites it has in‑house R&D and ground verification of large flexible solar wings, highly integrated avionics, a 5G onboard base station and a large-area all-digital phased‑array antenna. Dongsheng has standardized satellite manufacturing bases in Hunan and Henan that are already in operation; the Henan plant can deliver 50 1,000 kg‑class satellites per year. A Beijing (Shunyi) satellite manufacturing base is expected to start operations in 2027.

Ford is targeting more than 100,000 units in the first year of production for its new Fathom electric pickup, priced from about $30,000, with a planned launch next year and production on a new assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky. The goal is unusually aggressive—so far only Tesla has hit similar volumes in the US—and Wall Street analysts and some Ford dealers question demand. After the $7,500 federal tax credit was phased out, US EV sales have fallen: MotorIntelligence reports EVs made up 5.7% of US auto sales in August versus 10.3% a year earlier, with volumes down 48% YoY.
