According to Al Jazeera, the Yemeni government forces stated that they are engaged in fierce fighting with Houthi rebels on the front lines in al-Kadaha, a district in al-Ma’afer southwest of Taiz. The Yemeni International, currently based in Aden, acknowledges the government's accusations that the Houthis are attempting to impose a blockade on Yemen and prevent the country's oil exports. The Houthis, in turn, accuse the Saudi-led international coalition-backed Yemeni government of doing the same. The fighting in Yemen has escalated continuously over the past few weeks. The Yemeni government claims to have conducted hundreds of military operations against the Houthis. Meanwhile, clashes and drone attacks have occurred along almost the entire long-frozen front.
