On Sept. 3, Guangdong Party Secretary Huang Kunming and Governor Meng Fanli met
China Construction Bank Party Secretary and Chairman Zhang Jinliang to discuss
deepening government-bank cooperation during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Guangdong noted its economy has remained stable year-to-date and the financial
sector has posted relatively rapid growth, and urged CCB to seize the
opportunity, leverage its state-bank scale, increase allocation and
on‑the‑ground presence of financial resources in Guangdong, prioritizing support
for the “Six Networks” and modern infrastructure, actively participate in
Greater Bay Area development, and explore cross‑border financial innovation to
help Guangdong firms expand internationally and support higher‑level opening.
