[Data Shows Russian Gas Exports to Europe Up 3% in August] According to Reuters calculations, Gazprom's daily gas supplies to Europe via the TurkStream subsea pipeline increased by 3% year-on-year in August, reaching 51.9 million cubic meters. Turkey has become the only transit route for Russian gas to Europe after Ukraine chose not to renew a five-year agreement with Moscow that expires in January 2025. According to data from the European Gas Transmission Operators Association (ENTSOG), the total amount of Russian gas transported to Europe via TurkStream last month was 1.61 billion cubic meters, up from 1.56 billion cubic meters in August 2025. In the first eight months of this year, Russian gas supplies to Europe increased by 3.5% year-on-year, reaching approximately 11.9 billion cubic meters.
