Israeli Defense Minister Katz stated that if Iran attacks Israel, the Israeli military will strike all infrastructure of the Iranian regime, including energy infrastructure. Speaking at a Jewish New Year's reception with Defense Ministry staff, Katz said, "We have seen signs that Iran is under immense economic pressure, and fears of a popular uprising and regime collapse may prompt them to take desperate measures." He added, "An Iranian attack on Israel would remove all constraints on us. We will strike all infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, plunging Iran back to the Stone Age and into darkness." Katz also stated, "Israel is fully prepared, both defensively and offensively, for any eventuality, and the Israel Defense Forces are ready to carry out the mission."
