Yemeni Foreign Minister Afra Zuba and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed discussed the latest regional situation. The Yemeni Foreign Ministry stated that the two sides also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Yemen and the OIC. Zuba emphasized that strengthening the role of the OIC and the joint action of Islamic countries is crucial to addressing the challenges facing member states. She stated that restoring the functioning of national institutions and extending national sovereignty throughout Yemen is key to preventing Yemen and its territory from being used to threaten neighboring countries and undermine regional peace and security. The OIC Secretary-General reiterated the organization's support for the Yemeni government and for Yemen's sovereignty, unity, security, and stability.
