At a State Council press briefing the National Healthcare Security
Administration said that over the next five years it will build a comprehensive,
risk-based supervision system for medical insurance funds. Oversight will extend
to all pooled regions nationwide and to all entities, types, ownerships, scales,
scenarios and insurance categories — achieving seven "full coverages". The
agency will establish a closed loop for problem handling and rectification,
deepen multi-agency co-governance and set up an integrated
"inspect—handle—rectify—govern" supervisory chain.
