At its Sept. 4, 2026 H1 results briefing, Mingxin Xuteng said electronic skin
and functional leather products are still in early-stage R&D and being jointly
developed with customers. Industry technical routes lack unified standards,
leaving substantial technical uncertainty; the projects have generated no orders
or revenue to date. Existing fixed assets are being used to support laboratory
development and pilot-scale testing; the company said it may expand capacity and
begin mass deliveries once industry standards and customer product designs are
confirmed.
