Kioxia is promoting use of NAND flash to assume some server DRAM functions via a
CXL memory-expansion module it says can double memory capacity and raise
performance by 30%; these performance figures are from Kioxia's internal tests
and lack independent verification. The company also plans to supply SSD samples
in 2028 that can connect directly to NVIDIA GPUs.
