Data from Robert H. Perry Consulting shows that the U.S. private security industry's revenue has grown by 17% over the past decade and is estimated to exceed $50 billion by 2025. The company states that U.S. security outsourcing revenue is slightly over $35 billion, including electronic security systems and human security services. Some see this as a sign of a changing era: as political and cultural tensions in the U.S. reach a fever pitch, even once-common scenes of American life risk becoming sites of violent conflict.
