The US Treasury sanctioned Istanbul-based investment bank Golden Global over
links to Iran, Treasury Secretary Bessent said, describing the move as part of
Efforts to further isolate Iran’s economy by targeting its trading partners.
Golden Global, founded in 2019, has roughly $34 mln in capital. The action
follows last week’s US sanctions on the UAE branch of Egypt’s second-largest
bank; Bessent said another round of bank actions is forthcoming.
