On the 3rd, Poland’s deputy prime minister and defense minister Kosińiak‑Kamysz said Warsaw will bolster air-defence measures and increase the frequency of fighter and military helicopter operations after recent Russian aircraft activity. The defense ministry announced temporary low-altitude airspace restrictions in parts of eastern Poland from Sept. 10 to Dec. 9; high-altitude commercial flights will not be affected. The measures are intended to give air-defence systems greater operational space to respond rapidly to potential security threats.
