Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said a US escort operation in the Strait of Hormuz was frustrated. Kpler ship-tracking data from late August shows LNG carrier Al Ghashmiyah, which had been using a US-backed 'southern corridor' route, canceled plans to transit the Strait. Kpler recorded Al Ghashmiyah and four other vessels loaded at Qatar's Ras Laffan heading east toward the Strait; Al Ghashmiyah did not continue to Qatar and diverted to Fujairah, UAE.
