China’s Ministry of Natural Resources and the National Data Bureau said at a
Beijing meeting on Sept. 4 that the national satellite navigation and
positioning reference-station network service data has been officially
authorized for operation. The move — the first national-level public-data
authorization in the spatio-temporal information infrastructure field — is
intended to convert reference-station public data from underutilized public
resources into compliant, tradable data assets and marks Beidou high-precision
spatio-temporal data entering market-based operations.
