Russian President Vladimir Putin met visiting US presidential envoy Witkoff and
Jared Kushner at the Kremlin on the 5th to discuss the Ukraine situation.
Attending for Russia were presidential aide Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of
the Russian Direct Investment Fund and presidential special representative for
external economic and investment cooperation. US envoys arrived at Vnukovo by
private plane at midday. The meeting was Putin’s eighth face-to-face with
Witkoff and Kushner’s third participation in Ukraine mediation. Trump said US
representatives would present a proposal during the Moscow visit; Kremlin
spokesman Dmitry Peskov said "it is too early to discuss a new plan to resolve
the Ukraine crisis." US envoys are expected to proceed to Kyiv after Moscow.
