Saxony state police said on Sept. 5 they found 12 explosive devices near two
high-voltage transmission lines. All devices have been removed; there were no
casualties or power outages. Police said the devices may have been intended to
short-circuit the lines and are investigating whether the incident is linked to
a recent series of attacks on power infrastructure in Germany.
