Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy said it attacked three
tankers using 'unauthorized' routes in the Strait of Hormuz and three vessels
linked to the United States in other areas. The IRGC navy warned all vessels
operating in the Persian Gulf or the Strait of Hormuz not to be "deceived" by US
forces and to avoid any suspicious attempts to transit 'unauthorized' waterways,
saying such ships would otherwise become targets.
