Industry data published on Sunday show corporate dollar deposits at South
Korea's five largest domestic banks rose to a record this month as the won
weakened to a near two-year low against the dollar. As of Thursday, balances at
KB Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, KEB Hana Bank, Woori Bank and NH Nonghyup Bank
totaled $76.98 billion, the highest since banks began reporting the series in
May 2021.
