The General Manager of Iran's National Petroleum Products Refining and Distribution Company stated: "We are short an average of 10 million liters of gasoline per day. However, consumption has not increased compared to last year. The first-tier quota price is 1,500 tomans, and the second-tier quota is 3,000 tomans; the price will not change. The gradual price adjustment only applies to imported gasoline." The plan stipulates that government officials may not use their cars one day per week. Ride-hailing services will be exempt from the gasoline price increase.
