Korean media and industry sources say SK Hynix is rapidly increasing production
share of sixth‑generation 10nm‑class (1c) DRAM as 1c is slated to be the core
chip for next‑generation HBM4E. With server and AI demand boosting high‑value
memory, SK Hynix is accelerating process upgrades amid intensifying competition
with Samsung Electronics and Micron. 1c market share rose from about 10% in Q1
to roughly 13% in Q2; industry estimates put it at ~24% in Q3, ~34% in Q4 and
~35% in Q1 next year, when 1c would surpass 1b (around 33%) to become the
mainstream node.
