Goldman Sachs, integrating 11 surveys, estimates that AI adoption rates in major developed economies are around 15%–20%, with France, the US, the Netherlands, and the UK at the highest levels. An analysis of over 800 occupations shows that for every 10% increase in AI exposure, the annual employment growth rate in France, Canada, and the US decreases by only about 0.1 percentage points, indicating a limited overall impact on the labor market.
The pressure is primarily concentrated in high-exposure industries and entry-level positions. Since the second half of 2022, for every 1 percentage point increase in AI exposure across industries in Germany, Indeed's job posting decline widened by approximately 0.86 percentage points, the most pronounced among the six countries, followed by Australia and the US.
