Iran foreign ministry spokesman Baghaei posted on social media saying Tehran values its 64-year relationship with South Korea but that, as Iran defends itself against U.S. aggression and responds to what it calls U.S. war crimes targeting women and children, any country's military presence or participation in operations in the Persian Gulf or the Strait of Hormuz will be treated as direct support for the aggression and will lead to serious consequences. He warned sovereign states not to yield to U.S. pressure or to conspire in acts of aggression and atrocities against the Iranian people.
