China's Supreme People's Court on Sept. 7 issued opinions on the lawful
adjudication of AI-related civil disputes, aiming to strengthen judicial
protection of civil rights in the digital era and support orderly AI
development. The five-part, 24-article opinion targets "AI face-swap and
voice-mimicry", "AI hallucinations" infringement, online "box-opening" (digital
loot boxes), big-data price discrimination, autonomous driving, AI model
training, open-source software and intellectual-property protection, and sets
targeted substantive and procedural adjudication rules for AI cases.
