On Sept. 7 CHINA said at a routine briefing that, after round-the-clock repairs reopened roads, it has invited eight foreign media outlets — including NBC, CNN, Refinitiv, RUSSIA TODAY and the Press Trust of India — to enter the core area of the Jilong debris-flow disaster in Tibet to report on rescue and reconstruction. Visiting journalists attended a Tibet regional media briefing. CHINA said it will continue search-and-rescue and post-disaster work and will issue timely updates on the situation and relief efforts.
