China Merchants Energy Shipping board secretary Kong Kang said at a Sept. 7
earnings briefing that business units face different market conditions and the
tanker market’s cyclical strength and persistence are likely to exceed market
expectations. He said high Q4 momentum is largely confirmed and that the asset
market and medium-to-long-term freight market are already pricing in elevated
conditions for 2027 and beyond.
