Goldman Sachs in its latest global optical-module report materially raised
industry forecasts, projecting the market at about $67.7 bln, $131.4 bln and
$148.5 bln in 2026–2028—up roughly 33%, 81% and 115% versus its prior forecasts.
Goldman says the revision is not solely driven by AI server unit growth but by a
structural shift toward higher‑speed networking and a rising number of modules
per GPU/ASIC, which should accelerate demand for 800G, 1.6T and 3.2T optics.
