State media on the 6th reported Iran's economy ministry has established an
'Economic War Command' to centralize assessment of war-related economic problems
and coordinate faster solutions. Deputy Minister Morteza Zamanian said the unit,
housed within the ministry, will initially focus on matters within the
ministry's remit—chiefly impacts on firms' operations, trade and financing—to
accelerate follow-up and resolution. Issues beyond the ministry's authority will
be handled via cross-department coordination. The unit's tasks are to identify
war-induced problems and economic bottlenecks, propose actionable solutions and
strengthen interagency coordination when multiple departments must participate.
